'Cadgwith Cove, Cornwall' Oil on 20x16in box canvas

This is a painting of a stormy Cadgwith Cove in Cornwall a view that I had been itching to paint for ages - finally got round to it alla prima style which was immense fun! I love the power of the crashing waves driving into the cliffs under the brooding stormy skies. I tried to capture the violent movement of the waves and the darkness of the broiling sea. On the horizon light is breaking through as gulls swoop and spiral. Riley the cat art critic approves - I think!
