Exploring Loose Landscapes - Acrylics Art Workshop
One day workshop creating loose semi-abstract landcape paintings with acrylics.
Saturday 7th December 2024, 10am-4pm at Cropthorne Village Hall, Cropthorne, Nr Pershore Worcestershire (WR10 3LZ).
The focus on this acrylics workshop is painting with a loose, expressionistic approach, whilst there will be reference photos to work from you are encouraged to embrace spontaneity and develop your unique artistic voice.
We'll begin by laying the foundation with an abstract underpainting, exploring a variety of marks and textures using an array of tools and implements. Then using palette knives and other tools to apply paint on top to develop a semi-abstract landscape painting with multiple layers to create depth and interest.
There will be opportunity to experment with multi-media elements by adding collage, and oil pastels too.
Throughout the process, the emphasis will be on keeping your paintings fresh and loose, allowing spontaneity to guide you and giving rise to dynamic compositions that resonate with energy and vitality.
There will be plenty of 1-2-1 guidance and support, demonstrations of techniques, and handouts to take home. A full materials list will be sent out to participants after booking.
Coffee and tea and biscuits provided throughout the day, please bring your own lunch.
Maximum of 10 people. Participants must be 18+

Cancellations
Cancellations will be accepted if the spare place can be filled and a 100% refund offered. If a cancellation is less than 2 weeks before the workshop date a 50% refund will be offered or an option to put 100% towards a future course or artworks.
